My interest in shooting took root during high school in JROTC. After high school graduation, it would be several years before I actively participated in the shooting sports. In 2005 the opportunity presented itself to shoot International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) matches, I was thrilled to be back in the shooting world. We made a decision as a family to develop a portion of our property into a gun range, and thus, Ridge Crossing Shooting Club was formed. I serve as the club President, my responsibilities include general administration of the range in partnership with my husband and daughter, which translates into doing whatever the situation calls for. In 2007, I became an IDPA certified Safety Officer. In 2010, I earned certification as an NRA Basic Pistol Instructor and I am listed with the MS Department of Public Safety as Enhanced Conceal Carry Instructor. Since the establishment of Ridge Crossing, I’ve had the opportunity to introduce numerous shooters to the world of shooting sports and look forward to continuing to recruit shooters to the sport. We are happy to assist you in learning and improving your shooting skills in order that you feel confident in your abilities to protect yourself and those in your life.

I attended Saltillo High School, NorthEast Community College, and graduated from Mississippi University for Women with a Bachelors in Business. I first started shooting when I was about 14 years old when my dad would take me hunting. I began shooting IDPA in 2005 and my love for shooting soared. I completed the police academy in 2007 and was awarded Top Shooter in my class. In 2008 I became a Certified NRA Firearms Instructor for Law Enforcement. Since becoming a certified instructor I have helped train countless cadets, civilians, and fellow coworkers. Knowing how to shoot well is very important in my line of work, but also for mine and my family’s safety. We can help you to learn and improve your shooting skills so that you too can protect yourself and those important to you.
