Shooters, Let me start off by saying how thankful we at Ridge Crossing are that you chose to come to the MS State IDPA Match this year. This was our 5th year to host the match and our biggest yet. We are always humbled by the folks who show up every year and thankful that more folks decide to join us in MS.

There are not enough ways to say thank you to our SO’s & Staff for their hard work, dedication to IDPA, their help to continue growing Ridge Crossing, and their friendship.

Spring in June Match

The day started at 5:30 at the Carter house. Match day is always an early call on Saturdays. There were 41 shooters and several spectators today. The weather was picture perfect. Lots of fun and ribbing back and forth. Thanks everyone for coming out and spending the day at the range!

We had a great match yesterday!!! Thanks so much to all the shooters that came out. If you missed it check out calendar for our up coming matches. Check older match dates and you can see how everyone did shooting the stages.

The Carters will be at AL State match next week in Montgomery. Looking forward to shooting some good stages and time with great friends!

Sanctioned Match information can be found under Match Info / Upcoming Major Matches at www.idpa.com You have to be a current IDPA member and be classified in order to compete. The Carter’s plan on attending the following matches listed below:

April 21 / Alabama State Match, Montgomery, AL

May 19 / Arkansas State Match, Little Rock, AR

June 9 / MO State Match & Backstoppers Challenge, St Louis, MO

Sept 8 / TriState Regional Match, Arlington, TN

Oct 6 / KY-TN Regional Match, Puryear, TN

Oct 13 / MS State Match, Saltillo, MS

We encourage you to consider participating in these and other State and Regional Matches. The competition is friendly, you have the opportunity to meet shooters from all over the country, and see how other clubs host a match.

Pistol Match 8-27-2011

Lots of things going on at Ridge Crossing! Today was the end of the 2011 “regular” season for Ridge Crossing, 30 shooters closed the season today. The range always closes down for September to prepare for the MS State Match. October 8^th will be here before you know it and it will be a fun day ALL day!

The website is down for a few days, the target day to have it back online is Thursday September 1 – so keep a check on it. We have a new webmaster and the site will have a completely new look and format. In the meanwhile if anyone needs forms for the State Match let me know and I will email them to you.

Friday, the Carters all interviewed with the MS Dept of Public Safety in Jackson, MS. We are happy to announce we are on the list of certified instructors for the Enhanced Conceal Carry endorsement. We have classes on the calendar starting in late October after the State Match. The next class is October 22.

A preview of next season:

Ridge Crossing will have its first price increase since 2006 – IDPA members $12, Non-IDPA $15.

PRACTICE MATCH SCHEDULE:

November 5^th: NRA Pistol & Enhanced Carry Class

November 19^th: Pistols in a.m. / Rifles in p.m. – REMEMBER, rifles must be rimfire or pistol caliber

December 3^rd: Pistols
